Switches, EFIS (Part 1)

Well, it took a little longer than I thought, but the EFIS that I ordered at Sun-N-Fun this
year finally arrived! It's a Dynon FlightDEK-D180, which is actually a combination of EFIS (Electronic Flight Information System) and EMS (Engine Management System). With that
piece of the puzzle on-hand, I can finally start assembling the instrument panel.

Above the battery is the ground bus. All aircraft grounds will go there. The two bolts that hold it to the firewall allow the ground to continue to the engine compartment. To the immediate left of the battery is the ammeter shunt, and above that are the Main Battery contactor, the Avionics contactor, and the Starter contactor. (I promise, I WILL tidy up that bundle of wires just as soon as I'm confident that I'm done adding them!)

To the left of the radio stack is the fuse block. This is a Bussman 15713 which actually has 3 separate busses. The top bus is the Main Bus, the middle one is the Avionics Bus, and the bottom one is the always-hot Battery Bus.

A view of the back of the EFIS shows that I haven't even started wiring it up yet.

Total Time: 50.5 hrs.
