Seal, Prime, and Paint Ailerons

Just like with the fuselage, I forgot to take pictures after sealing and priming the ailerons. However, they went pretty much the same as everything else (as far as sealing and priming goes, that is). But since I started painting them at the same time I started painting the fuselage, I made the same mistakes on them, too.

I first got lots of orange peel, so after they dried I sanded them smooth and re-painted them. Unfortunately, I over-compensated, and applied the paint too thickly, and ended up with several runs and sags. But rather than paint them for a third time, I tried color sanding them. This worked out okay, but not great. I was able to achieve a smooth surface finish, but they didn't have that deep shine that I was looking for. The finish looked kind of cloudy, if that makes any sense. So, I bit the bullet and went ahead and painted them a third time. They're still not perfect, but they'll have to do.
