Cover Fin

This went a little bit better than the rudder. I found if I apply a bit more glue to the surface initially, it self-clamps better. In other words, if I don't apply enough glue to the surface initially, it doesn't self-clamp very well. Also, I'm still struggling with the technique for applying the finishing tapes. They're coming out a little "splotchy" looking.
It definitely doesn't look the way I think it should.

Another problem I had was that when the fabric was shrunk, it caused the bottom rib to bow upwards in the middle a little bit. This used to be completely straight and flat. Now it has about a 1/4-inch bow in the middle. I'd recommend to anyone building one of these that they put a vertical stringer between the upper and lower ribs to prevent this from happening! It looks like I'm going to have to build new fin fairings now.
